I read somewhere that Brian McFadden is not allowed to marry Delta unless he gives up smoking first
Same thing happened to me, I'd tell her to F off
FYP
Really if people are already saying "I'll marry you on the condition that you
dont kill yourself smoking and leave me heartbroken when you die of cancer
.." tell them no and find someone else.
sigh..I hate these discussions as we are both talking about completely different things.
Goodluck to anyone giving up smoking though.

I never gave up..just never lit up again. I used to love smoking and then for a few weeks found I didn't enjoy it anymore..didn't like the taste of it so didn't buy anymore ciggies. Sure, I don't smoke anymore but I really used to love smoking..the taste was great..that's gone now and I kindoff miss it. Still don't like the taste though so no point in lighting up again.

You just became the nonsmoker you were before you were a smoker.

Well im proud to say i gave up about 6 weeks ago and i dont even miss it unless i am out, so the answer to that has been to drink less, or go out less.. boring i know, but since I stopped i found that i dont enjoy a drink as much, but when i do go out i can drink so muc more..
The other positives has been that i have been far more active, Gym used to be a chore, now I want to go, i want to be there, now i just need to start looking like I go there..
.
Give up Matt if you can because you will feel the benefit for sure.. Make the next blonde bash your target... GL

Smoked for two weeks when I was 13. Gave up after turning green on the back seat of the school bus. Dear God, those Silk Cut Menthol are strong.

I didnt give up either, I have stopped being addicted to nicotine...........about 8 weeks ago I bought the Allan Carr book: The Only Way To Stop Smoking Permanently.................spent about 10 days reading it(all 470 odd pages of very small print) and continued to smoke whilst reading it. Got to the chapter where you light your last cigarette and followed the intstructions to a T except that I only had 2 puffs of the last cigarette and then put it out. I havent given up anything, I have become a non-smoker end off. Considering I've smoked since the age of 14/15 and I'm now 45(yes Grandad the real 45) and I smoked anywhere between 30 to 50 cigarettes a day its amazing that I managed to stop being addicted to nicotine so easily as by reading a book. I personally believe that Allan Carr to a certain extent brainwashes you but I've no complaints about being brainwashed in this instance and can't speak highly enough about how he has helped me become a non-smoker. 6 weeks in now and I've hardly had any cravings whatsoever, I don't feel the need to preach to anyone to stop smoking but if you genuinely do want to try I recommend spending the price of 2 packs of cigarettes or even less for a copy of 1 of Allan Carr's books.
Good luck to anyone trying to become a non smoker.
