They held a £60 10 seater sit and go on DTD Thurs with 1 seat. I came second Sad

The structure was ridiculous tho. 10 min clock. 2000 starting chips. Blinds:

25/50
50/100
100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
800/1600

Too quick in my opinion. Keep the 10 min clock but should have some extra levels early

online sats on dtd, the £10 to the £70 final not filling up, however there was enough last night in the final to generate a seat

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Southampton in the FA CUP 2-0 up at half time, against? I'll let Tighty fill in the gaps

Now I have written that probably come back and smack me in the face, second half

Good luck to all playing this. Wish I could play it but I'm out for a meal tonight. I'll pop in for some cash action later though.

Yes, good luck all those who are lucky enough to play in this.

And good luck to our special Update Team. Obviously, the PCA Bahamas thing - also on blonde - is the big one, but I'm hopeful that this dtd Update will be well received, too. We hope to cover this Event every month if they are well-received.

Oh, & is Ironside out yet?

Ok - hey guys - we are live in Nottingham - and DTD is as welcoming as ever. The journey here was very easy, an hour door to door, and Bongo was already here setting up the technical stuff.

There is a tangible buzz here - a strange quietness about the place - the 60 or so runners are here to play and win, no social players by the looks of it - although their ability to play without any hands is yet to be seen.

Recognisable players include Reddog, Lord Wernick, Dave Smith, Paul Jackson and of course Ironside.  he's off for a smoke, play startes in 5 minutes, he expects to be with us helping with updating witghin 10 minutes....

Reddogs preferred play for tonight is "starting quiet, will sit back for the first two levels, and then slow down.

Simon Trumper just announced shuffle up and deal and very sedately this comp has begun.

We may not be in the caribbean but we expect to see some storm play tonight!

Within 4 mins of play we have our first casualty - flopped flush against a rivered house means we are already down one player.

Simon Trumper has happily announced to the remaining players that this means they will not be the first out - and also reminded them that this is a 2 day competition!

Amazingly no - we are gutted!  It was John Perrin - who like his namesake may soon be leaving the building, leaving his clothes on the beach and doing a disappearing act. Certainly - he has left his seat and I have decided not to ask for an exit quote.

Simon reminded the room that there is the alternate system in place - there is still time for us to buy in - now anyone want to buy Bongo and me in??

Tighy arrived - first waitress just shimmied past him - he just tripped up while walking and watching her at the same time. Yet another example of a man unable to multi task .
