Any chance of a chip update on that good looking chap Craig Hopkins you mentioned on the first page?

Keep up the good work.

TYIA

Hi, I just had a look, as I did with many of the other Brits, but they all seem to have fallen by the wayside. I'll double check though just in case he's moved seats.

Julian Thew, although short, is still plugging away. He's hovering around his starting stack for the day after a couple of uncontested pushes (if only they knew!), but he did have time to nip over a report the standard of the table.

"The play on here's shocking. One guy re-raised with A-5 of hearts pre-flop and then checked when he hit his flush draw on the flop. He then bet the turn and called a re-raise when he didn't have the odds. He somehow did 50k in that one hand!"

Say hello to young YoYo for us please. Are we to assume that the incompetence of his fellow competitors is confusing him?

I think it may be a case of nohandsyndome as Julian is saying that it's mostly survival at this point, pushing whenever he finds the opportunity. Yoyo's actually on 27,000 now, which he described as his peak, after his pre-flop all-in three times on the trot went uncontested. Again, if only they knew...

Some more updates on the poker enigma Håkon Bentsen would also be nice. Perhaps try to get a few words out of him, some interesting hands, how he likes his table, etc.?

Homer, could you do some updates on BA? Make him ask Negreanu something as Borat. That should be priceless! Grin

Have done, he's planning a Jamaican accent apparently...

Craig Hopkins, looking as though he thinks I want to steal his apple. I really don't. At least 120k I can spot.

Irena Liepina -- 43k

Andrew Teng bets 11,600 on the river of a board. Because it was the last hand before the break, William Thorson takes an age before eventually passing after a good five minutes.

Hakon is still in with a more than respectable 115,000. He started he day with circa 70,000 and has built his way up by winning several small pots and avoiding the big showdown. The one showdown he did stumble upon was a Nines versus Aces encounter, Hakon finding some good fortune when a Nine hit the board. He was the bigger stack at the time, so the loss wouldn't have eliminated him from the tournament.

Johan Berquist, who finished 8th in the 2006 Scandinavian EPT, has extended his chip lead to 300,000.
