best cure for a common cold (which is ofcourse what most women get when they think they have something as bad as man flu) is to work up a sweat and sweat it out

there are many options for working up the sweat the easiest without the need of another person is a good old fashoined run follow this with a HOT shower and you will feel right as rain in the the morning

Well if you have a bad fever, you can either be a man and freeze it out of you. I never do this, this is just a rumor i heard lol.

What i do when i have a fever is stay very warm and sweat it out, be sure to drink TONS of water as i lost 1 stone doing this last time (If you saw me you would wonder if it was possible to lose 1 stone)

Find one of those shops that does herbal remedies (not Holland and Barrett as most of theirs are synthetically produced) and buy some herbal guards and vitamin C tablets.

Take 2 of each morning and night (worked wonders for me).

For the sickness Omega3 tablets (which is a bit of a misnomer as they're more like capsules) are usually pretty good.

I tend to take the lot with a glass of orange juice to wash them down.

Oh yes and don't crunch the herbal guards unless you like the taste of raw garlic (they don't taste the best!!).

Beechams Cold + Flu Tablets as well as Prochlorperazine is your friend

Prochlorperazine - where do i find it?

Any nausea tablets over the counter should contain it.

You can deal with a bad cold.  If you have flu, you will suffer.  Doping yourself up with drugs will numb the symptons but won't help cure it any quicker.

Flu kills people.  Colds are a temporary pain in the neck.

Keep hydrated and the body fuelled as best you can.  A sympathetic partner is also essential.  I've had flu twice, proper flu.  Never felt so bad - my muscles ached, my joints ached, my bones ached.

Pretty obvious that you are the first lady to get manflu, therefore a bottle of brandy is the only remedy, even if it does not work, you wont care Cool

ps get well soon

It's the only way -- increase your alcohol/blood ratio

Men get proper colds. Women merely get a chill.

Back to work with you, woman.

I never had a day off work "sick" in 40 years, but I had my share of colds, & could handle them pretty easily.

My remedy - which I DO NOT ADVISE YOU TO COPY - was as follows - basically, it's designed to sweat the cold out.

I took these all at once, one after the other.

2 Lemsips or Beechams powders.

A big swig of Night Nurse

A bigger swig of Bennylin

A big slug of whisky. (The worst part).

A large mug of very hot, sweet, milk.

Straight to bed, & the sweat would pour out of me all night, but in the morning, I'd be much better.

But don't ty it - it's genuinely "kill or cure".

Typical!

Only a woman would moan about a little cold!!

You would never catch a man moaning

lots of chopped ginger and garlic into hot water with lemon and honey, before going to bed and then 3 times a day will sort you out in two days.... (garlic won't taste in hot water, just one clove finally chopped) during the day only ginger and lemon will suffice....

Agreed, and they'll cost you about 18 quid in pharmaceutical bills. I know. I did it. It didn't really work.

Paracetomal with codeine is good though...

Forgot to thank you Lee for passing your flu on to me.  That's the thanks I get for taking you to Brize Norton and going an hour out of my way.
