If you can get to the tinypic URL it'll probably not be a DNS issue. Can you get to tinypic.com ?

Hit the start button.
In the search box type:
cmd
then hit return.
Found it. Hit 'Run' ping successful.

If you go to a forum page where one of the offending pictures is copy the address of the offending pic, the bit inbetween the [img]xxxxxxxxxxx[ /img] and then paste it into the address bar at the top of a web page. The pic should appear. Can you try this?

No. I can't see it Andrew. It says 'connecting' but it doesn't connect, it just times out.

If you are using one turn it off and try to view the image again.

Firewalls can be set up to act differently depending on how your connection method. It would seem to be router related. Need to go to bed now will ponder this some more and get back tomorrow if you haven't sorted it by then.
