Good luck in the final Tom!!!
Thank you sweetheart, I appreciate it.
So 9 of us went back but only 6 got paid. That being the case, you might expect the play to be tight and edgy, but on the contrary it was very creative and aggressive. Never the less, it took an age before we lost those 3 players.
With 6 left, Ash, Alistair and one other Walsall regular were about even in chips. Then there was an extremely personable Greek guy by the name of Andrew who had perhaps 25% more than us, and Taff who had perhaps double our stacks.
We decided to chop it up, Ash, The Walsall regular, Alistair and myself took £2500 each, Andrew took £3000, Taff 4000, and we left £2200 in the pot for the eventual winner.
I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a game of poker so much. Everyone said the same, we all had a ball.
I went out in 3rd, Taff and Andrew decided to split the remaining £2200 with Andrew taking the trophy.

I've had several pops at Walsall lately because of very poor standard of the food. Well fair is fair, they put on an an absolutely first rate buffet for the finalists today
There was beef, chicken, ham, several different cheeses, crackers, pâté, little toasted things with assorted toppings and champagne to wash it down with. Now that's looking after me in a manner to which I hope to become accustomed.

Now I know why I don't eat much fruit at home. Mrs Red doesn't put enough chocolate on it.

I'm halfway through the book already Andrew
I should explain that Andy, (He's the Alexi Sale look-alike wearing the Superman outfit in the pic, if you are squeamish, look away now) told me about a book called Red Dog yesterday, when I arrived at Walsall today he had bought me a copy.
Thank you so much mate. I know some people will think it's soppy, but that sort of thing restores my faith in human nature.
PS- That Superman outfit must really have made you invincible, no one could dodge that many bullets.

When I first arrived at Walsall yesterday I had a bit of a headache. I asked the staff if they had any pills, but no one did. Then the bloke behind the bar told me there was a machine in the ladies loo.
Because the place had just opened, there were no ladies around to go in for me, so I had to go in myself. I had to be really careful though, I already have a bit of a reputation in the ladies loos at Walsall, having walked in there by accident one night. (Believe it or not, Snoopy has photographic evidence)
I opened the door a crack and called to see if there was anyone in there, I got no reply so I proceeded gingerly through the second door and on to the inner sanctum. Once inside I stood for a moment, mesmerised by the clean dry floor and pleasant smell, but a noise from inside one of the cubicles made me jump about 3 feet into the air.
Panic rising, I returned to the task in hand. I felt like I was doing a bank robbery. I put my £1 coin into the machine and turned the knob without ever once taking my eyes off that cubicle door. Mission accomplished, I reversed out silently.
PS- When it comes to curing headaches, Tampax are almost useless.
