Simon Singh's book 'The Code Book' is brilliant for taking you through the creating and breaking of codes. His lecture on probability that Tank and I went to years back was fascinating as well.

Some will say it's tosh but I enjoyed the Robert Harris book/film Enigma and another of the subsequent film adaptations The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley based on the biography Alan Turing  - The Enigma by Andrew Hodges.

I saw the bone one on Twitter a few weeks ago as I've been following Andrew Cotter for a couple of years or more.

I caught sight of myself in the mirror this morning. I look like someone has borrowed my face but hasn't looked after it.

Inspired by your plant pictures, and the recent wet, warm weather bringing the orchids out...

and the Common Spotted Orchid.

Quite chuffed to have seen them.

That's great Rod.

I used to be all about the fauna but I'm getting into the flora.

Did you know there's a Wild Orchids UK & Ireland website?

Hadn't seen that before Red, cheers, they seem to concentrating on rarities & hybrids more though, my wee common orchids pleased me though Wink

A lot more up the same area today, also once you've spotted one you see the others easier once you've got the eye trained to them.

Thankfully she still has her label on so you can take her back to the shop.

I trim her myself. Nothing fancy, just enough to prevent her coat getting too long.

She's too much of a scruff-bag to rock the coiffured look.

Sunday Quiz Question:

Walking yesterday I came across this ram with some wire around its head, so I detoured to the herd's house to let him know (sheep will find any way to hurt or kill themselves and getting caught in wire can cause serious injuries). He was home for lunch so wandered over to check, saw it, laughed said it was OK, explained and went home.

What is the wire for?

Beats me Rod. I don't think I've seen it before.
