Early stages donkament hand.

This was in the Crypto 20k earlier. At the start of the hand I have 2.1k MP  has 3.5k BB has 2k. Blinds 15/30. No info.

MP opens the pot for 90, im on the button with 99, and flat call (standard right?), bb also calls.

Flop is 852 2 hearts, bb checks and MP bets out 240 into the 270 pot.

How do we proceed from here. Is raising pointless? Fold worse stack better etc. I was really tempted to open fold in this spot. What do you feel the merits for call/raise/fold are. Call and reevaluate turn. I ended up raising to 600 and passing to his shove and pretty sure this is just spewing chips most times. Don't even know why I did it!

i usually flat it here + re-eval on the turn.

I dont mind the raise/fold line though.  This eliminates the possibility of a bad turn card peeling off and having to fold to another bullet.

Raising with the intention of folding to a shove here is really, really bad. You can definitely call here and see a turn though. Apart from the fact that we will still have 2x the pot behind and it is reasonable to think that we should still be ahead here a fair percentage of the time; calling here is the play that makes you toughest to play against and maximises the chances that he makes a mistake.

at such a low level maybe there is a chance to reraise pre flop to say 250 and see how much your man likes his original raise. It may get rid of the BB. It might not.
