How bad is my play?

Im running so bad over the last 2/3 days guys and this play has seriously annoyed me, would anyone else have played this hand in this way? This is fairly early on and I busted 33 out of 45 in the end.

Erm nasty one.

There is no shame in passing this preflop but I would have probably called like you in an MTT, I pass quickly in sng but thats because of the payout structure.

I actually just call the flop cbet i think this make this most money post flop. As you can induce bluffs on the turn and possibly get away from your hand.

At this buyin i probably bust like you readless as some many donks will felt ace rag here.

For the best analysis leave results out as alot of people will read this and go " zomg its so obv villain has ak or better here" which is not necessarily true.

I'm prob re-raising preflop to narrow the field. at this early stage in a $10 tourney the 90 bet is always likely to get several callers, especially after you've called it. people are getting priced in or at least think they are to call with pretty much anything. obv it wouldn't have made much difference in this particular hand as you're not losing mr AK anyway. I might pass also but I hate the call.

on the flop your calling 800 to win 1840

if we put him on a very tight range AT+, A5, AA, TT, 55 (ignoring flush draws, straight draws and bluffs) we're getting about 31% equity in the pot which is enough to make the call from a purely pot odds perspective.

do we want to risk out tournament in this position though? that's a different question, I'd like to pass to the RR and look for a better spot here but in reality I prob call and get knocked out.

i call pre flop and on the flop and lay it down to the all in raise (if i had re raised instead of calling the flop), you have position so i like to see if he is still happy with his hand on the turn, a card to bluff might arrive etc I'm prepared to lose a chunk but i really don't want to go broke with it.
