Yes - especially well done to Andrew T who was playing on a blonde satellite ticket and earnt us poor loosers 10% so good on him.

He hardly had any cards all night, played off a very tight image and managed to get to sixth.  I know he was gutted but delighted to do as well as he did, it was a real slog - and as he was fighting a chest infection too he really played a blinder.

The excellent structure meant he could sit and wait even short stacked, which helped.

Well done all Blondes but thanks to Andrew T for the money!

Id like to say a big thank you for all the support from fellow blondes and luton regulars at yesterdays main event especially my pal Vince 'Celtic' Calenti Rob Garfield, phil Cooklin and many many others  and much kudos to Nick my final table opponent who is an excellent player and 'Great Talker' at the table.

Also I must thank Nina and all the staff at Luton G for the best structured tournament I have ever played in allowing me to take a very heavy hit early on and still able to play my way back up.

I for one think Luton G is one of the best card rooms in the country and is getting better.

Carry on the good work guys !!!

Well done Dean and I'd like to echo your comments about the tournament. I too got hit early on, and never managed to get that much of a stack, but the structure allowed me time to not panic and engineer a plan for survival. One of the reasons I never managed to get much of a stack was I spent quite a bit of time to the immediate right of some well-chipped up player who kept calling my raises and pushing me off pots... Smiley

I thought you played brilliantly - one hand that sticks in my mind when when you called bets on turn and river from Lalit on an xA6Ax board with only K6, that was a great call.

I'd also like to say thanks to those players who came up and said hello, purely because of what I post on here, even though I'd never actually met them in person before. Matt Tyler, Vince Calenti and Mick McCool you are all very nice people.

good weekend had by all , nice to get back in the circle its been a while . i thought dean played exceptional final table poker , he locked his 75% of the chips in play up and played the gears very well..............  i met rookie for the first time , he had a very solid game (even though tyler threatened to run off with his missus) . i think andrew t may be the umpa lumpa......... he kept pitching his chips in , waiting fo his slot one in every 30 hands and survived very well...... hence he got named the lumpa.........  every one cheered when he had enough chips to make a genuine standard raise............

commiserations to my room mates and travel buddies braddy and tiny tyler both got horribly outdrawn in 16th and 14th.....................

as for wooodly i have one thing to sayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy   runnnnnnnnnnnr runnr runnr runnnr runnr r ruuunr runnnr ruurrr nmrmnnnr  runnnr runnnr urrrunnnnn runnr    .................... a class outdraw form rookie that by day 2 they had run the flop 3 times and it had 12 diamonds on it lol .........
