As I launch full length into man cold straight after a bout viral infection of the bowel I did find myself asking the following questions
1. Why if I know it is going to hurt when I cough hit myself in the chest immediately afterwards
2. When I have toothache do I continue to prod the offending tooth with my tongue

Well it goes something like this I am about to cough deep breath.............retching cough from the centre of chest huge stabbing pain thump chest with right fist as some sort of instant reaction and so the cycle continues. Now not being a little bloke the thumps are probably hard enough to fell a small ox. I have tried not to react in this way with no success |

It scares me that we might have so much in common I'm with you too. Not just teeth. Do you ever get that thing where you pick at the dryish skin on your fingers just under your nails - if it comes off it can be quite sore. If that happens though, I'll sit there deliberately digging my nails into the sore bits. |
