Did anyone else watch this tonight?

Very interesting with respect to how the ordinary person perceives probability. This is the sort of programme which should be shown after Coronation Street.

The sad thing about the programme is that this is exactly how many tipping services work.

I did notice that a) he was using the old school, obsolete, definition of a billion or b) he messed up his calculation.

That's kind of the point though.

I (and most people on here, except Glasgow Bandit) would have spotted what it was all about right from the off, but the vast majority of people would be suckered in.

yeah very old scam, they would advertise ther system saying there so confident you only pay them when you win, then divide the country into say 6 sections sending a different horse to each section from the same 6 horse race, telling you if you dont win they dont win so dont pay us just put a fiver on the seletion for them and when you win just send them there share, they must of made a lot of money .

What you didnt see was that he filmed that scene 7000 times with 280000 different racing pundits, and they only showed you the one that worked out.

he 'directs' them to the only pictures of people with their initials by using trigger words in his instruction to them. Very clever stuff is NLP
