Joe Rafferty doubles David Pomroy up in rather spectacular fashion:

David, now short stacked, saw a flop with Joe of  .  David, who'd raised preflop, bet 100k, effectively committing himself, and called when Joe moved in with his set of .  David showed  Ah , and looked to be drawing almost dead.  Until the turn brought  and the river    - the runner-runner he needed to double up and nearly knock out Joe.

A couple of hands later he doubled tiny-stacked Joe up with his  to Joe's  , but he still has less than 100k, to David's 460k

The crowd are still exciteable, with the notable exception of at least one who is clearly asleep and will look funny on TV.  You can tell because when they changed dealer and introduced him as 'Jack' there were lots of shouts of "Come on Jack!" from the benches.  They'll cheer for anyone and everyone.  Great.

Henrik has been taking quite a few pots with preflop raises, and now David is doing it too.  Looks like he's taken his foot off the brake and now has enough chips to put pressure on the leader.

Apologies that our server speed appears to be rather slow this evening. We are not sure why this is, but we do know that several other Forums have posted "links" to us, & maybe this has slowed things down.

Bad news 1808, Pete Haslam OUT in 5th place -

He had become the second shortest stack and made a stand with an all-in with  , which Henric almost immediately called, with  .  No hit for either of them meant that Henric's King was a winning card, and Pete takes 5th and €59,500.

The very next hand, Ultra-short-stacked Joe received no callers when he moved all in, showing a suited J4!  It's a funny game...
