'BLONDE' Poker???
«
on:

Newbie here. I just HAVE to ask.. and forgive me if this is answered somewhere, but I haven't found it yet..
Why the name 'blonde' poker? Is everyone here a 'blonde' down deep?
Or perhaps it's a 'playing style'..
Please educate this newbie!!
Cheers!

Site began in early 2005, brainchild of Dave Colclough and Tony Kendall ("tikay")
Dave's poker nickname.."elblondie" after his very light hair..hence blonde Poker.

Ahh-hah!
Well, thanks to elblondie and Tikay for starting the site!
I got here as fast as I could, you know!
I've been watching some, but decided to try and learn.
Thanks for the insight!
And, yes, M3boy -- it's even better than 'bald poker', I imagine!

She said bald POKER. Obviously not referring to you.

Presume this is ok to ask? Does Dave Colclough still have anything to do with Blonde? Shares/owership etc etc... Who actually 'owns' Blonde?

Yes Dave is still a shareholder, though he stepped back from day to day running of the business in Mid 06
The three major shareholders are tikay, IrishDenis and Mr Colclough

Dave

A slight correction there, for the sake of clarity. It was Dave's brainchild, but he invited me in as a Partner & Shareholder before the Site went Live, & I've been very much involved in it's day to day running ever since. I was Dave's "deputy" while he was involved, with specific responsibility for the Forum (we have a "News/Results/Home Page" & a Cardroom, too) then I took over after he took a step back to concentrate on his poker career, before Rich (TightEnd) subsequently accepted my offer for him to run the Company as CEO, which he has done for just over a year now, working closely with Denis & myself.
We hope you'll give our cardroom a go - the revenue from that helps pay for running the whole Site.
Good Luck at the Tables, wherever you play.
