Dunno if anyone can help solve an argument, but Im throwing it out there.

Just watched the fantastic as always Harry Hill TV Burp. At the end of the show he got an extra from eastenders to stand doing nothing for 30 seconds for a joke.

My wonderingment is, what sort of money would this guy expect to get for his 30 second appearence on a prime time saturday show on ITV? I went on Sky poker recently and I reckoned with travel, hotel and such they ended up paying about £450 for me to go on, so for ITV it must be huge?

Anyone have any knowledge of this sort of thing? I reckon it really pays to be famous for the most marginal things these days.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

things must have changed a bit.  Some friends of mine did extra work a few years back and got 50-100 a day.

I think as 'jobbing extras' that's about right - my dad's friend does Casualty quite a lot - gets pushed around in a wheelchair wearing different bandages each episode.
For 'celebs' I don't know.

For every TV Actor working, nine are "resting", & I think the daily rates for semi non-ententies may not be as much as some might think. Those who work on TV a lot - proper TV I mean - gain more currency from off-screen work which emenates from their TV appearences.
