Tough game for me, away to one of my chief rivals. It's sunny, they've selected a flat pitch and won the toss to bat first. Fairly happy to have kept them to 123-2, getting their gun bat (7k wage) out for 63 in the last over for lunch. He's got a 7kwage and a 4.5kwage bowler in his attack so don't want to be chasing more than low 300s.

GL all!

End of Over 37 (Maiden). all star sixhtters: 73-5, runrate=1.97

I thought this would be an easy game, but he took a Div3 side out of the cup on Sunday!

Cracked pitch, Partially Cloudy and Humid weather today and Sunny tomorrow.

Ideally I'd like him to hang around a little while without scoring :|

He seems to have rested his best players so maybe I shouldn't be so worried Smiley

I'm really pleased with the shift my bowlers have put in.

The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 70 (1 runs). Jurassic Park: 232-5, runrate=3.31
Ndebele   11-3-17-1
Parle*   25 (35 balls)
Grier   7 (26 balls)
Last Wicket: Dinning b. Dugdale 45 (FOW: 218/5)

They have a long, long tail so confident of denying them a third batting point. Now, just need Kerwin to fend off the new ball and their seven grand a week destructive FM and I'll be in a good position for day two.

End of Over 20 (Maiden). Bigglesthwaite CC: 54-1, runrate=2.70 - Tea.
Trail by 35 runs. (all star sixhtters 89-10)

So far so good.

Confused by his team choice, must have decided to target the guy I played last week, or has decided he will get relegated whatever this season.

Just noticed his star bowlers are on moderate and lively fitness respectively Cheesy (really must have a word with my scouts) They managed to scrape 288 in the end.

Pretty disappointing first day.  Hopefully I can get the final bowling point and deny them the final batting point.  Going to be difficult to win from here.

End of Over 110 (Maiden, 4b). Henley Town: 333-8, runrate=3.03
Cranie 28-6-83-3
Mcleod* 0 (5 balls)
Griffith 26 (65 balls)

First Innings of: Gorseybrigg old boys
Name                   Runs   Balls
Kerwin (*)   not    out   50   56
Searle       not    out   25   42

Great start to the reply. If I can get another 400 at four an' over I've a chance of winning. Of course, could get skittled tomorrow!

Good day for t'briggites Smiley

I've posted 480-9 with only 1 starter from the first XI in the team, on a slow wicket.
I'll declare overnight, and try and bowl them out twice tomorrow.

End of Over 60 (2 runs). Bigglesthwaite CC: 183-3, runrate=3.05
Lead by 94 runs. (all star sixhtters 89-10

Not a bad result so far.

Probably declare at 360 for max points and push for the win.
