Action already from the LOUD table with Pete Linton & Mad Turk involved not for the last time I guess.  Pete raised Turk's blind with  apparently but I arrived at the end (standard) with a board of:

 two hearts

and a tall stack of 5k's in front of Mad Turk effectively putting Pete all in for his remaining 17,000.  Pete is thinking and Mad Turk is doing a play act to infer that Pete is passing and Turk readying to muck his cards.  Pete makes the call though and Turk turns over "Ace high" to allow Pete an early double up to around 48,000.

THEN it sinks in for Turk and goes off on blabbing "Ha, YOU raised with big blind with JQ eh?"  "IS that what you did?"  "Keep doing that!"

Pete cooly just replies on a loop "Good I want you on tilt!"  "Carry On"

Pete Linton raises to 3,200 from the cutoff, a giggling Daniel Rudd passes on the button, cheeky chappie Tony Phillips repops it to 9,600 from the small blind, before Graham Clarkson makes it 27,200 from the big blind. Back to Pete, with a world of agony on his shoulders. "So sick, and I knew I had you beat, you fish," gesturing at a grinning Phillips.

He passes, Phillips passes too saying back to Pete, "No, I had you beat."

"I had Queens," says a slightly exasperated Linton.

"Ok, you had me beat," concedes Philips who says he had A-Q.

Clarkson says he had Aces, but should he have just flat-called the re-raise?

P Charalambous has doubled through Nick Gibson with K-9 vs 4-4. He didn't pair but managed to 4-flush the king.

Craig Metcalf doubles up with Fives against Marc Goodwin's Ace Jack.

This left Mr Cool short and he pushed with in late position soon after, a short stacked Trevor Reardon from the small blind pushed behind with and Andrew Psaras called from the big blind with .

Board:

Big Trev trebles up and Goodwin hits 3 pair. And is out, as Psaras takes the side pot.

Shortly afterwards Matt Tyler moves his short stack in from late position with 54off but Big Trev finds Tens this time to knock him out.

I missed this board as I was watching Neil Channing call Edward Morgan's all-in, finding himself in good shape with against .

....

"Peppering the area..." observes Channing.

"Maaaarvellous..."

"What a cruel game this is..."

Peter Charalambos just knocked out short stack G Stafford with AQ v QK.

Just heard about a lovely story from Roberto Romanello regarding the chap he is railing Jamie Gubb.  One fine day, Jamie (also from Swansea) had $40 and fancied a shot at letting Roberto spin it up for him in a cash game.  He laddered up from $1/2 to $2/4 to $5/10 building along the way all the way to $1,600.  They took out $1k and Roberto carried on with the $600 to spin it up again to $1,600.

This time he took $1k to play a heads up match with and told Jamie if he built it up he could play in a GUKPT for a 50/50 split.  Build up he did and here they are - Jamie still in and looking good on around 60,000.

Andrew Woods (Woodsey) had a slow day yesterday and just grinded away to be able to start the day with 25,000.  He is currently on about 90,000 after in his own words "I have been an absolute card rack today and hit every flop that I had raised!"  Wahoooo for some honesty rather than "I played every hand awesomely and deserved every chip I accumulated!"

......................................

Celtic was painfully low just now with only 13,000.  Sitting in the big blind I happen to (accidently Wink ) see he had JJ.  There was a raise to 3,200 (blinds 800,1600) from early position.  Passed round to Vince, he went all in for a further 9,000 to Darren Hickman.  Again he didn't wanna make the call even though he plenty of chips behind.  He called then we saw why he was reluctant to call:

Vince
Hickman

Celtic's Jacks held up and given a lifeline to 26,000.

Tony Phillips departed earlier. Re-raising all-in with A-5 against Pete Linton's cut-off raise, but finding Graham Clarkson with A-K in the big blind. Graham has 190k.

Any updates on everyone's favourite tangerine flavoured, sponge-based biscuit?

Just caught Jeff Kimber doubling up with AA versus Q 10.  The board was:

  Two Diamonds two spades

Sadly the Q 10 chap was pointing to his hand and Jeff kept pointing to his hand and so on and so forth until it sunk in that his 2 pair was counterfitted by Jeff's better 2 pair.  Now on just over 100,000.
