Ever forget about a thread you started? oh heres one...Season 3 was a bit patchy, the Miguel stuff was great but then the Skinner stuff in the last episode all seemed rushed and the tension had gone, hopefully season 4 there is more of a threat to Dexter, I have a feeling Debs will find out his secret like in the books.

How horrific was the ending to Dexter, such a let down. Wish it had ended 2 seasons ago.

Totally agree, which is why a part of me is glad Breaking Bad is finishing, not that Dexter was ever anywhere close to as good but it's hard for us as fans to see the right time it should end, clearly the writers of Dexter missed it as well.

All downhill from season 4 for me, but had to keep watching in hope of a payoff, that 4 seasons later never came Sad

Season 7 wasn't perfect but I thought it showed promise.

I'm going to pretend season 8 didn't happen.

The ending was just horrible.  Not only was it bad from a story perspective it just made absolutely no sense.  It would have made some sense if the ending had just been him going into the storm but the last scene is amongst the worst in TV history.....

I wasn't even going to post about it because Dexter was that disappointing.

In the first 4 seasons you were always nervous/excited when Dexter was close to getting caught. The scene from S04E11 titled "Hello, Dexter Morgan" sent shivers down my spine at the end, it was so gripping.

The storyline always had loopholes in it but the writing/directing/acting was so brilliantly executed that nobody cared. This final series had so many loopholes and loose ends that it leaves you feeling really disappointed.

I think if they could go back they would have to re-think how Deb reacted when she caught Dexter, she turned into such a whiny bitch and her story was awful. I think possibly killing off LaGuerta is where the writers lost it.
