Now I readily admit to being a bit of a nerd..In fact I'm quite proud of it. I am also easily distracted by shiny gadgets that I never knew existed...I am also about 3 years (or 6 months, it's all the same really) behind the times as everybody else.
We (The Mrs and Myself) bought a car the other week..a nice and shiny one...very cool.
With that comes a problem though as I have a 6 CD changer player (No idea what they are really called) in the boot...I have no use for that as it implies I would ever open the boot just to change some CDs. Now, I have an I-pod and this holds most of my, admittedly dodgy, music...so I thought "surely by now they have invented a car stereo that allows you to play your I-pod on it.
Of course they have...they probably invented it years ago BUT I only thought of it this afternoon..so it was a revelation for me when I saw them online for about 50-60£ (130 £ and you get a telly with satnav and everything...mental, isn't it?)
then one of the companies riggers walked into the office and when he heard I was looking for that he said..No you need to get this "pluggie in thing" (official name I think) that..erm plugs into your cigarette lighter (we bought an old car so I still have one of those..do new cars even come with a cigarette lighter?..or is that against the law these days?) and into your I-pod and then you can play the i-pod over your stereo.
So I ebayed it and found this

I know you probably all know this stuff existed but I'm very excited about this..and I'm getting one tonight (Mrsboldie will kindly allow me to purchase one ..though it will probably come out of my pocket money)!
