1st (me)vs 2nd. Am 43-0 after bowling them out for 354. Hoping to make 410 or so tomorrow at about 4.3 an over to get at them with 15 or so overs left in the day. But, to nehonest, anything over 360 likely means a winning draw and protects my lead.

End of Over 32 (Maiden). M.J.B.: 93-10, runrate=2.91
Trail by 191 runs. (Bigglesthwaite CC 284-10)

Makes me glad I enforced the follow on on the off chance!

I had an awful start (40-3) but I managed to put a decent partnership together, however I've just lost a wicket.  I bat to 8 so heres hoping I can muster some batting points.

End of Over 48 (8 runs). KBOTW: 157-4, runrate=3.27
Trail by 219 runs. (Alfie Allstars 376-4 dec)
Mackay 9-0-30-0
Tau* 73 (100 balls)
Conelly 1 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Edgerley-harris Run Out 42 (FOW: 141/4)

From 40-3 to....

End of Over 110 (Maiden). KBOTW: 370-6, runrate=3.36
Trail by 6 runs. (Alfie Allstars 376-4 dec)
Donnelly 23-3-74-0
Tonderai* 39 (80 balls)
Capp 74 (134 balls)

Last Wicket: Tau b. Howell 149 (FOW: 277/6)

Nice contribution from my trainee making his debut to ensure max batting points. I may now employ the devious tactic of getting my batsmen to bowl so they declare "too early" and I have enough overs left to knock off the runs for the victory.

End of Over 2 (Maiden). Bigglesthwaite CC: 5-0, runrate=2.50 (1st Inn: 284-10)
Trail by 115 runs. (M.J.B. 93-10 & 311-10)

In a great position to chase down the win. Weather improves slightly tomorrow too!

Looks like a draw at worst. Made 474-7dec. Bit slow tho' and only got three overs in. Now 110 ahead, they have all 10 2nd Inns wickets remaining.

As expected, with my WOEFUL bowling line up I've put out, their 40k rated batters smashed me all over the park

514-3 dec so a bonus bowling point

30-1 in my 2nd innings, need less than 200 more to make them bat again. Hopefully we can bat the day out to get a bloody well deserved draw.

The important game is the same opponents playing 4th place next week, and I have a BOT.

My match is heading for a draw, which I'd have taken at the outset.  Now I've got back to back games with the best side in the league by far to look forward to.

Ty guys... no idea how I skittled them for so little in the first innings. Not going to complain though!
