Do you have a chip count for Colin Kennedy please, and could you wish him all the best from me as well.

Mike Ellis was hovering around the rail, so it would appear we have lost last year's Grand Final Champion.

Alex Martin is now biting the dust of the rail, his tournament life on the line when he moved all-in for 4,075. He looked as guilty as a pig in the queue of a hotdog stand, but when he turned over his cards, he had the goods in . Unfortunately, Kai Paulsen had better goods, his leaving Alex in all sorts of bother. An Ace on the Flop pretty much sealed the deal, and Alex was left to exit stage left.

For those interested in the cash action, the biggest game on the go at the moment seems to involve John Duthie, Jeff Duval, Ben Roberts, Dean Sanders, Dave Barnes and a few affluent looking Mediterranean chaps. Cripes!

Leon Campbell has just used up his first lifeline, his all-in with Sixes for 3,200 being snap-called by Kings, before a Q-6-4-3-7 board gave the former a much needed double up. Coat back off, apology made, game on!

Indeed the rail is alive with the sound of bad beat stories. Among the no-longer-runnings is Mr Jerome Oshea, who called all in on an with ; however sole apparent backward chair sitter Joel Ettedgi had and went on to make a full house with the river.

They're dropping like flies....well dead flies anyway. Live flies would surely be...well flying? Never really understood that expression.

OH SORRY, I'm waffling again.

On with the poker.

Luke Patten has bitten the dust....being relatively short he found it easy to get his remaining chips in the middle with A-K and found himself called and flipping against the 7-7 of Kevin Allen. A flop of 4-9-5 was of little use and the decisive 7 on the turn sealed the pot in Allen's favour, meaning despite all his "nitting", patten is out. Ok contrived pun I agree. NEXT.

Some random counts...

Jen Mason - 10k
Leo Kam - 18k
Willie Tann 10k
Barney Boatman 14k
Manuel Palanca 7.5k
Josh Tyler -18k

Another player to experience a spot of bad fortune is Kevin Allen, his failing to survive an all-in against Paul Alterman's on a Two Diamonds Flop. Turn, followed by an academic River left Kevin with a face as sour as a bag of old grapes. Consequently, Kevin is down to just 3 or 4k.

Nicolas Levi is back down to 6.5k, although he claims to have at one point he reached the heady heights of 24k. I understand they mainly went the way of Peter Charalambous - I don't really know what he was saying to me, sounded like he was saying something about cheese, but he was grinning and making the universal sign of sweeping other people's chips into one's stack, so I'm guessing that's what happened.

Also looking a bit shorter than formerly is Julian Thew, down to less than 4k, yikes.

Marc Goodwin - 10k
Mickey Wernick - 20k

Marcus Bebb-Jones - 15k

Richard Gryko is sliding down hill quicker than a lubricated bobsleigh, his chip stack dropping to circa 3.5k after calling an all-in from Zaheer Zeb (5k into 10k pot) on a board of Two Clubs two spades. Zeb proudly fronted his to lap up the pot.

Word on the poker grapevine is that the players are now on a 40 minute break. When they return, we hope to have the full chip counts courtesy of Mr Raab. We'll also be sure to reply to those requests for James Honeybone, Graham Weldon, Mark Harris and, if we can locate the fella, Colin Kennedy. Don't touch that remote!

Martin Bader has doubled up. Eoin Kennedy bet 3k on a flop and Bader shoved for another 6.5k. Kennedy called with I think QJ. Bader - - which tuens into a house on the turn, river.

Righteo, my tummy is rumbling like a volcano, so I believe a quick trip to MacDonalds is in order. Back soon! Be sure to post any requests you might have for when the players return to the felt.

In the meantime, he's a completely irrelevant, but highly amusing picture of a llama to keep you entertained whilst I munch on a Quarter Pounder. Hmm, looks like a girl I once went out with. Dated worse though, present partner excluded, of course.
