On Tuesday and Wednesday everyone is in one group, hopefully a group of 30... You will choose 5 horses each day to have a £1 UNLUCKY 31 (Singles, Doubles, Trebles, Fourfolds and Acca), the top 8 returns after Wednesdays races will progress to Thursday's races.

On Thursday the 8 remaining will have £20 in each race to spend, they can spend how they like, for example, you can have 1 x £20 bet, or 4 x £5 bets etc... One thing you must do is wager the whole £20, but you CANNOT lay a horse. The 1st and 2nd at the end of the day progress through to play off for the title, and 3rd and 4th will also playoff on the final day of Cheltenham.

On the final day, the 1st vs 2nd and 3rd vs 4th, will playoff as per usual Blonde Tipster's league rules, which are as follows...

4.0 Scoring - Players score "Goals" according to the performance of each of there 6 selections on each matchday with goals awarded according to the odds of winning and placed horses as follows.
4.1 Winning selections score goals according to their final starting prices as follows:
Odds On - score 2 goals
Evens to 9/2 - score 3 goals
5/1 or more - score 4 goals
10/1 or more - score 5 goals
20/1 or more - score 6 goals
4.2 Placed selections score goals according to their final starting prices as follows:
Odds On - score 0 goals
Evens or more - score 1 goal
10/1 or more - score 2 goals
20/1 or more - score 3 goals.
Place Terms - In determining the goals scored for win and placed selections the following place terms apply according to the number of runners in the race:
2-4 runners - only the Winner scores goals;
5-7 runners - Winner, and 2nd place score goals;
8 or more runners - Winners, 2nd, and 3rd place score goals;
16 or more runners (in handicaps only) - Winner, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place score goals

Players will choose 2 runners per race and score points accordingly. Player with the most points from 1 vs 2 is crowned Blonde Cheltenham Tipster Champ!

Hope this all makes sense, and get confirming your place, i will update this post with confirmed runners and how many places are available as we go on!

yeah that seems best..the confusing thing is that it will be a lucky 31 thing..so doubles and trebles and all that. I will find a site that has a little gizmo to calculate winnings. only winners should count on the first two days from what I understand.

On a side note, as we are using lucky 31 - would it not make more sense to have the points to a level £1 stake rather than scoring goals as per previous league?

As there arent going to be any fixtures for the first part are there or am I reading that wrong?

We could easily use the betcalculator from our sports boards sponsors site found here http://www.willhill.com/iibs/EN//static/calc.html

sigh...always someone who doesn't read properly Wink

first 2 days are lucky 31.
Thursday is 20£ per race

last day is the only day that the goal system is brought in.
