Ankle update: have to stand on one leg (the bad one) as much as possible.
take it it's sprained then? Apparently I've torn the ligament but not all the way through. Have to stand on one leg to make sure the balance sensory things in the ankle grow back and I don't do it again. |

Ligament damge is 4 weeks minimum and you have to be careful not to do it again like I did. It will be easy to see coz if I steeped off a curb wrong, it would just go and I'd be in fuck loads of pain. But then you will reach a stage where you find your ankle bounces back for you and is strong enough again. I did it in rugby in the lineout, but i strapped it up good and proper and played the next week, Trouble came on the sunday after a superbowl party walking home in the morning and did it again on some roadworks. Football in theory should be ok after 4 weeks, you just don't want to be making big ground impacts so avoid aerobics lol. As the doctor once told me "Strap it up before you slap it up", I think that was for summat else tho  |
