Yes I don't really understand what it's about- it surely has bizarre implications in a small event as when the bubble player goes out, there is effectively another bubble till the round finishes. Surely it will just make the stalling happen earlier in bigger events?
Yeah - if the bubble bursts on the first hand at one of the tables, then there is effectively an even greater bubble till the end of the round. Under normal hand-for-hand, shortish stacks will play tight and wait for someone to go out, but that may not be enough as the very shortest stacks may double up and overtake them.
However, with round for round, if the bubble bursts on the first hand, folding the next nine hands will
guarantee the current short stack some money - he's not going to play a single hand.
