Yes it probably is...

All you have to do is break even and the person paying you to play is going to make money out of your rake..

Sounds like a regular "Trader Scheme".

Tread warily with Trader Schemes, there are some iffy ones around nowadays, though the well-established ones seem to play with a straight bat. If it looks too good to be true, it invariably is.

That's not to suggest, of course, that this one is anything but perfectly proper. One has to wonder, though, why they'd need to advertise this outside of the regular Poker Village.

It's been brought up on the Gutshot forum and Barry has answered there.

They pay you some money (unspecified) for playing a minimum number of hours or hands and take a percentage (unspecified) of your winnings. And collect all your rake. Smiley

Barry is obviously hoping that Metro and Standard readers have never heard of rakeback...

I replied to the ad and they start you off on £100 per week as long as you play 20+ hours of cash per week (>50c-$1 NLH) and a bankroll of anything from $500-$10,000. you also get to keep anthing from 50-80% depending on levels and rake.

They stuck me on at $1000 Br and a ton a week. Not bad!

Isn't employing people to play on your own site a bit dubious?  Presumably all this has to by payed for by the "mug" punters.  Are these shills identifyable on the site?  I think if I was playing against people payed by the owners of the site I would want to know who they are.  Or better still go play on site that doesn't use such underhand methods.

Wow, nice work... You've done very well there, especially since the last post on the Gutshot forum seems to suggest that they're only planning on meeting applicants next week. I'd have thought you'd have to have some sort of connection with Gutshot to get such a good deal... But if you were somehow connected with them then you wouldn't need to have posted your original question on this thread. Hmmmm... Oh I don't know, it's all much too confusing for me to work out...
