I read so many threads on here when people question the various poker tools out there for use and how they improve your game etc.

And the thought just occurred to me, I don't agree with this sort of software.  I don't think other players should be able to use tools that predict what your actions are/could be.  Its not like you can take these into a live game with you - and personally I think online poker should mirror the live game.

So your opinions?

Why should online poker mirror the live game? They are vastly different battlegrounds

If online poker mirrored the live game you would get one hand every 2 minutes, there would be an argument every 10 minutes. and the games would start 20 minutes late.

Are you going to ban people taking notes as well?

There is also a difference between types of tools alot of them are not in game tools, like sngpt and pokerstove where the stuff can be done with paper and pen it just would take longer.

Where do you draw the line?

Disagree,

Poker to most is a game of skill , player V player.

To me it's not much different to taking drugs to win at sport.

Apart from it being legal, which is a massive difference imo.
