Trust you.

I know you (and others) disagree with this line, but I accumulate alot of chips this way against the right players at this stage of a tourney. I have got to know the players well and know the ones that will pass if they miss a flop. Shoving was another option, but I honestly felt it was an Ace x raise and felt they would call. My intention was to shove on a non AK board.

As for Leading the flop, I do this alot and show nothing. I get paid when I hit.

Anyway, they had . Flop

sorry but this part of your post confuses me. You shove any flop with no AK, right? Therefore you don't get paid if you hit as it a classic stop and go. Your read said he had an Ace...so how will you get paid if the ace doesn't hit?

I don't like the line you take at all here. I used to do the old stop and go a lot myself and there are some things to be said for it but to flat call a preflop raise and then lead out when you hit a monster is not something that can be the best play overall. ..then again..maybe it works because it's unconventional...I dunno..don't like it myself as you ussually won't take the others guys entire stack (which is what you need at this stage because you're very short)

Ok.

Boldie, what I meant about cold calling people's raises and betting out - I was referring to all the way through the comp - most players there know I will do this and take down many pots uncontested - just because I lead out is no indication that I have hit the flop and most of the regs know this - hense when I do hit, I am not beleived and get paid.

I understand why this play is not liked because of being short. BUT with the structure, at this point (ie just before the FT) Almost EVERYONE is short (I think Av = 10xBB approx). This is the point in the tourney where it gets crapshooty and you need to get chips to take to the final. Suprisingly enough, once on the FT there is quite a bit of play.

Hindsite, a fold preflop is best and on witht he next hand - trouble is I cant resist trying to win these pots.

If the flop is    do you still bet 6K, shove, or check-fold?
