DO you have to be a pro to play the pro event?

No, I think the Pro-event is a misnomer - it's more of an open event.  So (and I could be completely wrong, it wouldn't be the first time), I don't see anything stopping someone who's played in a 'Pro' event playing in a subsequent amateur event.  Of course, assuming they're not a pro.

OK, so someone who is not a pro can play in both the Amateur event and the Pro event*?

*Which they are now committed to because they luckboxed some ranking points in the first two so now have to set fire to subsequent bundles of £250.

Correct, unless you get selected to represent your country in the team event.  Then day 2 of that would clash with the Pro League.

Not been decided yet.  He was a comical captain last year though, and you came 3rd, and he tried to take the credit for it.

A short time ago the Grosvenor Casino Aberdeen pulled out of hosting our APAT Scottish Championships on 19th-20th June 2010. This was obviously a severe disappointment to us, and created headaches!

We had therefore to change plans, and now I can say what these are.

The International Casino in Aberdeen will now host the event, on the same dates

Saturday 19th June will see the two day £75 APAT Scottish Amateur Championships held. At present this will be limited to 100 players, though we hope this will be 120 players if the venue can secure sufficient resources to manage this

Sunday 20th June will see the £250 APAT Professional League Series event, with a capacity of 50 runners.

Both events will begin at 3pm, with casino opening at 2.15pm on both days

Sadly  the Specialist Series event on the Sunday will be cancelled for Aberdeen.

Satellites and direct buy-in for Aberdeen will take place next week.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but at least we still have an event.

Well, out of four players who made the team, I hope you aren't trying to take the credit!

Delighted to welcome back APAT to its original 'hame' in Aberdeen.

Satellites for the APAT Scottish Amateur Championship and the Professional League to be held on the 19/20 June 2010 at The International Casino, Aberdeen are available in the lobby of Betfair Poker.

Monday 17th May - 8pm - $20 Freezeout to the Scottish Amateur Championship ($120 seat only)
Tuesday 18th May - 8pm - $10 Freezeout to the Scottish Amateur Championship ($120 seat only)
Wednesday 19th May - 8pm - $5 Unlimited Rebuy to the Scottish Amateur Championship ($120 seat only)

Wednesday 19th May -8pm - $50 Freezeout to the Professional League ($400 seat only)

All of these satellites require a password, which is apatmember

All remaining seats will be sold through the Betfair Lobby at 9pm on Thursday 20th May as direct buy-in

With the current cap of 100 players for this event, it is likely to sell out very quickly, so the satellites are going to be your best way to guarantee a seat.  There is no reg fee on any of our satellites this season.

Good luck to evreryone in getting a seat.
