they're one day championship events
Des suggested on an APAT thread 3,000 chips , but I think he was referring to the limit events primarily

All side events scheduled for 2.30pm.
The PLO is 10,000 chips, 30 minute clock
Razz and Stud are limit, structures being established at the moment
Wat?
2.30pm? On a schoolday? 10k chips?
It was 3k when I bought in last night - I assumed it was an evening tourney.
Well you know you should never assume - and the information was available before then if you'd looked.

Des,
Could you please let us know the intended start time for these side events.
Thanks
Hi Mike,
They are scheduled as daytime events - so with a 2.30pm start. We have also capped the field size to 70 runners in the Omaha and 50 runners in the Razz and Stud. If there is demand for the side events we will extend the festival and increase field sizes in Season Three. The main event will have a 200 capacity and be run as all other APAT National Championship events.

I'm confused. The website says 9pm start time for the Razz and Stud events. I assumed Omaha was the same and bought in, thinking that I could go after work.
Which start time is correct?
Edit - forget that, I've just spotted that the 9pm times are the 'on-sale' start times.
Post left up for any other idiots to avoid the same mistake.

The PLO has been advertised as 3,000 chips but we hope to increase that as we do not expect to sell out. Final decision on Sunday once the event has been marketed.

Do you expect Razz and Stud to sell out Des? Would like to play but I can't decide if I want to fork out £50 plus travel to London just to have a bash in them.

It's very hard to say Graham as we have no previous events of this nature to compare against. If we do fail to sell out online I would have thought we will see players buying in locally in the run up to these events as they will be something to experience.

If we see demand this time around we'll develop this festival a good deal further Chris.

Couple of seats are avaialble for tomorrow if anyone is free:-
APAT ACADEMY LIVE - SEATS AVAILABLE FOR THIS WEEKEND
Some seats are still available for this weekend's APAT Academy Live poker training session, taking place at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham.
Under the tutorship of professional player Paul Jackson, APAT Academy Live will address the theory around playing and assessing hands from multiple positions, while Late Night Poker legend Simon Trumper will give an eye opening demonstration of tells to look out for at the poker table.
A feature of APAT Academy live training days will be the addition of a guest professional who will offer an insight into their career and the way they play the game. Attendees of this event will have the opportunity to sit with the William Hill sponsored, European Poker Tour and multi Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Champion, Julian Thew.
APAT Academy live days will be held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. This event is being held on Saturday July 26th, starting at 1.30pm and lasting for 6 hours, enabling attendees to enter the evening tournament at Dusk Till Dawn.
The cost of a training day is £99 per player, which does not include entry to the evening tournament - a £50 freezeout.
