The APAT Masters pro-am will be played at the G Casino in Luton, on October 4th & 5th, with play starting at 2.30pm on both days.

This is the first APAT event open to both amateur and professional players and will feature a £300 buy in, with no registration fee, and added value in the shape of an expenses paid entry to the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final worth around $8,000.  There will also be a free buffet on day one and for the finalists on day two.

Players will start the event with 10,000 chips on a 40 minute clock.

Online satellites into the event will run on Blue Square on Thursday ($10 rebuy) and Sunday nights ($50 freezeout) at 8pm. A direct buy in will be available from the APAT site on Monday September 8th at 9pm.

Next qualifier for the Pro-Am is tonight on Blue Square 8pm.

$50 Freezout with one Luton Pro-Am package for every $750 in the prizepool.

Why not double up with the WCOAP Pot Limit Omaha $20+$2 which starts at the same time.

Good Luck All.

Virgin Festival goes Registration Free.

Following discussions with APAT, Virgin has confirmed that from this point on it's Poker festivals will be effectively Registration Fee free for players. The first registration free Virgin Poker Festival, the fourth overall, will be held at Loose Cannon in London on 27-28th September.

Richard Prew, APAT Media Director said "APAT, now nearing the end of its second live season, has led the way on hosting Championship tournaments that are registration fee and we are delighted that Virgin has also agreed to lead the way towards better value for players in its events"
