cant believe this was 3 months ago...


If i'm moving to a new flat, should it be up to me to have a phone socket installed or the landlord?   If me, whats the cost likely to be?

AQA II says that's it's up to you to get a phone line installed, but if you do it can become the property of the landlord when you leave - the same with a Sky dish.  AQA heard this information at third hand and so cannot guarantee the reliability or accuracy of it.  If you speak to the landlord he might agree to pay some or all of the cost of installation (doubt it though) as it means the house will have that in place for future tenants.

Are you looking to get a BT or cable line?

depends on the service you will get, cable line and you will be with Virgin Media or equiv for phone and web, BT line and you can choose your ISP

I did contemplate getting a 3G dongle or such like, but have heard bad reports on the whole about the connection speed etc...
