I dont know about Tiger for this one so I am going to leave him alone for now.

Im on Adam Scott at a massive 38 - 1  he was ill last weekend and so his price has drifted. Just watched his interview on the Masters website and he is fighting fit again and ready to go.

Also having a bit on Geoff ogilvey at 25-1

I am also going to try my hand at Laying the folllowing players

Phill Mickelson - Most overated player in golf (he's good but he's not THAT good if you know what I mean)
Ernie Els - Unable to string four consceutive rounds together at the moment
Padraig Harrington - has done nothing since the open

Good luck with your picks and enjoy the best event of the year!!!!!!!!

Not sure about laying Mickleson. He's got a fantastic record at Augusta.

Does anyone know where I can get a guide to The Masters online? With stats for all players etc.

Ladbrokes near me is paying top 6 for e/w bets.

Why is it "the best event of the year" with it's invited field and limited TV coverage ?

Not only that but it eliminates all but the longest hitters from having a realistic chance of winning.

Ralph I just love the Masters !!!

Its an amazing golf course that always creates immense drama. Nothing is certain and everything is possible.

Five putts, putting into the water, par that can be a 3 or an 8.

A 3 stroke lead can be wiped out in one bad hole.....easily.

Players who are 3/4 shots back with 9 holes to play are never out of it if they take on the par fives.

At the same time a medium range player who's putting is hot i.e. Zach Johnson. Can still win if they play to thier strengths.

Just great drama.

Ok you got me on the limited TV coverage !!!!!  but you can watch amen corner on line live all day long

I thought you might be on your man Caberra?

I have been watching Cabrera closely all season hoping for some spark of life but his driving has been uncharacteristically awful this term, I think he hit 38% of fairways last week. I know that Augusta is not the tightest but I still couldn't bring myself to back him. He'll probably hit every fairway and win now Smiley

I too love Augusta and The Masters Chris, it signifies the real start to the golf season for me.

But I don't think it comes close to The Open as a major.

Am I right in saying that the only tv coverage tomorrow is from 9pm to 11:30pm (ish)?  That's shocking if it is.

When I looked a couple of days ago the max time was 3 hours, both Saturday and Sunday.

Things appear to have improved a little http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/6103550.stm

I didn't realise that Rich. I shall stop having a go at the BBC's coverage - Suspect that I (and many more) are used to seeing SKYs coverage of majors being on for 6+ hours a day.
