i don't think its purely a matter of getting paid enough

if your employer does or proposes to do some thing you don't like
option 1 GTFO
option 2 express your displeasure by collectively withdrawing your labour
option 3 do nothing

i am not involved in this in any way except have had to find alternative flight just in case
but i have no problem with people striking gl to them

 p iss poor management that lets it get to this stage IMO

Friend of mine is a BA long haul pilot. He's livid at the union & cabin crew. Pilots took a pay cut a while ago. Cabin crew get paid about double the industry average already, with the best perks in the business. The union just seems intent on either a) bankrupting the company, or b) bankrupting the company. Presumably thinking that the government will step in to rescue it when it goes tits up. That'll sure happen. /Rant

Unfortunately because the company is so big there isn't one single person who can do this.

Imagine if this was your company and your staff were doing this but you were a multi millionaire anyway. How satisfying would it be to just say "right then I'm selling the planes, don't come in Monday, have a nice life you greedy fuckwits!"
