Why would my dear lady be upset if I don't dry the dishes, surely drying dishes is just a waste of energy, if I leave them lying while I watch the football nature will do it for me by the time I come back to put them away. If I leave them lying even longer I don't even need to put them away as they are handily placed in the plastic thing by the sink ready to be used again. Simples.

letting dishes air dry is much more hygenic too - loads of germs in tea towels.

Use a clean teatowel imo.

soap isn't tasty

I'm pretty sure you don't boil your tea towel's after every use do you?

And rinse properly.

Use a clean teatowel to do my drying up and then get them to fek in the washing machine.

More enviromentally friendly than rinsing all my dishes with hot water. Rinsing with cold water is just nasty.

Your Mrs thinks it's appropriate to get upset about drying the dishes but I think you have a right to get upset as well. I mean she can see you're watching the football so she should bring you in a beer and remain silent until the final whistle.

When I was about 14 I locked my bike in the rack outside the swimming baths - when I came out someone had nicked the lock and chain...
