If Man U have a fully fit Ferdinand and Vidic for the games then this is Man U's game for the taking. They are better defensively and more cutting going forward. Can't ask for much more.

Over the 2 legs I predict:

Man Utd to win by 2 or 3 goals
Liverpool to win by 4+ goals

Only my opinion.

I feel that Man utd are bang in form in all areas of the pitch. Barca's defense will not cope with Rooney/Ronaldo & co.

Liverpool have a tremendous set up for the 2 leg affairs of CL and I believe that as much as Chelsea have gotten the results recently, they have not really played that well.

Man utd to win in Moscow as it is a one game affair but will be close.

A totally unbiased view from a Jock who loves the Premier league.

i will be happy if you are 25% correct in your prediction Geo

WOW! Bold predictions Geo, Liverpool v Chelsea will be IMO a very dull game, I think both managers will be happy to sneak a 1- 0 win.  We know Rafa will aim to keep it compact and not concede and try and spike one on the accounter, on the other hand I think Grant will do the same thing.

To say Man U will win the tie by 2 - 3 goals again this is fantasy, Man U are a fantastic team and so too are Barca, if all the big game players turn up this will be one hell of a battle and if it comes down to best players then Barca win, unfortunately Barca haven't fired on all cyllinders this season and for that reason I think Man U will sneak through but I don't think there will be a 3 goal margin.

Only my opinion mate, based on the matches I have watched this year (and I haven't missed many)...........mind you maybe it's the effects of signing up to the Bandit school of punditry   Wink

Let's wait and see.

Edit: Having watched the poor performance by Rangers last night and still getting a 2 goal win, I think a 2-3 goal margin for Man Utd is not unrealistic

It is very tough to see past Man U this season I admit but here's where my hopes lie:

1) Ferguson's inability to go to places and get a result by not being on the front foot every 3 seconds. It's all well and good saying "yeah but we're United and we play to attack" but that's why you've won one European Cup in 21 years when you should have won at least three.

2) Ferdinand and Vidic are injured at the same time as they were last season and we saw how Man U's back up centre halves did against world class players. These players are esential to win.

3) Lionel Messi.

As for the other semi I have a sneaking suspicion the second leg being at Chelsea may swing it in their favour.

Man U to win the final unless Liverpool make it, then it becomes a derby and anything can happen.
