Completely standard, just like the us/uk extradition treaty - it will be only used to combat terrorism ......

All these stupid ppl who don't oppose liberty threatening laws because "they have nothing to fear" don't ever seem to grasp that beaurocrats will always use any powers they are given to the fullest extent for any reason no matter how trivial.

"but if you're nothing to hide you have nothing to fear"...it's a pearler ad people will never realise that it's their own fault for not standing up to their govt.

this sort of crap really drives me mad, if I paid taxes I'd be even worse.

if they want to know if someone lives in a house why not knock on the door, I dread to think how much money was spent on the stakeout

and as for the privacy issues, well I really don't wanna get started on that

This is wrong for so many reasons and such a waste of public money.

No such thing as a free lunch country. Big brother is watching you. The more we remove your freedoms the more you will appreciate those you still have.
