..... It just has a better ring to it and is more likely than relegation. football isn't our game its our life and today is a great day and many more will come under the messiah.

Agreed, but the answer to your thread is no chance.

You won't see a better headed goal than Michael Owen's yesterday. I think he's got as many with his head as his feet this year. The movement to beat his man, all be it McShane, was top draw. The technique on the header itself was Ferdinand like. Get this boy signed up! I don't like him taking penalties though, he doesnt have a good record, and he's english.
Talking of English, there isn't a more solid english keeper in this league than Steve Harper.
A very comfortable win, even without playing well.
We look solid, and always capable of scoring a goal or two. I'm already looking forward to next season, and if there hadnt been a change of manager I'm not sure I'd have felt like this.

If you went to the bookies youd be 100/1 to win the league next year, and about 33/1 to be relegated, so not true im afraid...

Listening to Keegan's comments I am a very worried man - not in that he doesn't think we can compete with the top four, that's obvious to most people. His tone sounded so down it means there is something wrong. My guesses are either, or all, of the following.
1) Chairman/Owner have told him how much there is to spend and it is not what he expected.
2) Still furious over missing out on Modric, which he blames on the Chairman.
3) He knows he is losing Oba Martins and isn't happy. (for me if someone wants to pay 15m they can have him!)
4) The Michael Owen contract renewal looks unlikely
5) He has been knocked back by agents of the players on his list of people he wanted to bring in. The number he is hoping to add has fallen from 5 to 'one or two' over the past few months.
Get in Bullard, Bently, Shorey (poor but 10x better than Enrique), Crouch/Ashdon, Dunne - and see if we can get European football to attract top players for the season after next.

He does seem to be saying what was already obvious before he took the job. I think it was one of the reasons he left City that he realized one day that he wasn't going to win anything and kinda lost the enthusiasm.
To counter this if Spurs can win the Carling Cup and Pompey and Cardiff can get to the fa cup final there is hope for all the other small teams including mine.
