right guys

I have removed half this thread as there is sectarian stuff being said

you guys need to learn to stop this stuff on the forum

various of you have been asked privately to pack in it way before now.

bans (not just 24 hour cool offs, proper lasting bans) will now follow in any further instance of this stuff.

The sectarian stuff came from one individual!

This same individual who has spouted sectarian bile on umpteen occasions.  how many more times is he going to get away with it?  If he said it in the street he would be arrested.  Yet here he gets his posts deleted and a slap on the wrist.  Incidentally if it was racist abuse would the mods deal with it in the same manner?

Pathetic

the faults are on both sides of the divide

Believe it or not, we try to avoid banning

However things have now gone, even more so than before, way too far

We can't make it any clearer, people are going to get banned.

If anyone has any further comments to make, you can PM a mod with your concerns.

Who got banned??

dont really want to get into a big argument- plain and simple both sides unhappy with it but, bein a rangers fan I'm obviously a bit happier we MAY have an extension(hopefully  Tongue ) BUT...

what other solution was there?? if no extension there was no possible dates to fit in- its not exactly like school when you used to play at 9 in the mornin then again at 2pm for your boys club.- the way its happenin we're still goin to be playin at the weekend, then a tuesday, then thursday & then at the weekend again- thats still too much.

p.s for those not happy with reading about rival fans bickering or bantering then put simply-you dont have to read it.

Nobody has been banned yet, well I don't think so.  Bazzaboy would like me banned, I'd like him to go play tig with the buses, but we don't all get what we want.

I wouldn't mind yous getting an extention to the league if these things where discussed at the beginning of the season in the event of there being heavy fixture congestion.  We find ourselves in a situation that Rangers have contributed to this by not keeping the Ibrox pitch playable during a bout of bad weather, they also asked for a game to be postponed to allow time to play a CL game,  the SFA must take some blame also for postponing Celtic and Rangers games to help the National team and the SPL should have acted quicker after the death of Phil O'Donnell.

A few seasons back though the same courtesy of extending the season wasn't afforded to Celtic when we got to the UEFA cup final.  And neither should it have been IMO, becuase it wasn't in the rules before hand and you can't go changing the rules mid season.

Also the people that loose out here are the fans, many supporters will have already booked travel to Dundee now that could be buses, boat or even flights.  I know of a Supporters club who come over every weekend to Scotland from Derry who have booked 30 flights for their members to to come over and they have also paid a deposit on a hotel, now its not the end of the world but this could be the 5th time this season their plans have been ruined.

Rangers entered 4 competitions at the beginning of the season they had ample time to build a squad in the summer and again bring in proper reinforcements in January and they never done it, so the blame lies at their own front door.

Ohh and just to point out Celtic have players who are scheduled to head off on International duty after the last league game of the season should we be without these players for our last league game?

FFS you lot, This makes the Scots look like Jeremy Kyle rejects.

fecking sort it out its a game of foot ball, who gives a toss if a team gets an extension.

Shame on all the plonkers tbh.

It's the blatant trolling that annoys me. The banter is great..some people only posting to piss others off...not so great Smiley

Just saw Billy's post...Well said mate.

Its a bit like Tommy Smith, Ron Harris, Norman Hunter and the rest of the 1960s/70s hard-men defenders

You knew they could defend but sometimes it just went OTT

These days, with video technology you just can't get away with those types of challenges. They'd always be banned

surprisingly I totally disagree with a lot of what you say :p

The pitch was waterlogged due to Scotland having the most severe and consistant rain in 20 years ffs- it wasnt only rangers that has had games postponed this year due to the pitch- however these teams were able to reschedule these games as they were not in Europe. As for you sayin the SFA should have discussed these things at the start ofr the season-I do agree this should have been the case.. in the end it wasn't BUT.. for you to say things cant be changed for exceptional cases is a pretty stubborn view of things...its not only in scotland things get changed in football for the good of common sense-an example- Liverpool were afforded entry into the champions league when they finished 5th a few seasons back- to allow them to defend their title! I think using common sense in these situations will help football rather than hinder it dont you.

Also the question was...what would have been a more reasonable solution?? how could they have possibly fit these games in before the 18th May?? play each tuesday before we play in the thursdays of the UEFA cup???

1 What other SPL club apart from Motherwell had games postponed because of the rain?
2 Why couldn't the Ibrox pitch cope with this downpour?
3 Why should things be changed mid term?   Afterall this is not an exceptional case is it Celtic got to the final in 2003 and suffered serious fixture congestion.
4 Should Rangers have asked the SPL to postpone the fixture with Gretna in the run up to the Lyon game?
5 Why should Celtic and our fans be disadvantaged due to something that has nothing to do with us?

If the SPL want to postpone Rangers game to the 22nd of May thats fine, but there is no need to change the Celtic game.
