Ray Wyre has bizarrely doubled up against previous 'cannot miss king' John Morris.

They saw a 2-4-8 flop, Morris bet out, Wyre shoved for a huge amount, (10kish we reckon), Morris called and was ahead with A-Q, as Wyre showed caught-in-the-trap-Oh-I-thought-you'd-fold T-9. That was until a straight-inducing Jack turn and vomiting-reaching 7 river for a lucky straight.

"Poker," as Rolf Slotboom would say, "It's a shkill game."

Marc Goodwin has doubled up, all-in with Aces against Ace Queen on a Queen high flop.

John Morris continues to be involved in the biggest pots, he called a flop bet on a 9-2-3 board, before being the shorter stack then c/raised all-in on the Jack turn. Morris went for it with 9-5, but was in trouble vs pocket Tens. Blank on the river and he's lost another 20k or so and is back down to 35k.

Jen may be smiling in this picture, (Nik Persaud paid for her and Tony to have a massage) but she gave away a few chips earlier, betting the turn of a board and then betting again, 3.5k on the river. She received a nasty surprise, though, being check/raised to 10k which is when she gave up the pot.

During the dinner break she said she'd been very impressed by the gent three to her left, who'd folded the nut-flush to her on the river of a K-5-2-K-x board when he'd bet the river and she'd set him (she was holding 5-5). "Maybe I should've just min-raised..."

Askild Hansen continues to do well, he bet out 1,200 on a flop, Terrence Owens made it 3,200, the Norwegian thought for a while before adding another 10k on top to elicit a quick fold that he probably surmised he would get.

Laurance Houghton bets 1,250. Dominic Kay raises to 3,500 and Houghton flat-calls. Kay then checks the before folding to a 4,750 bet.

Paul Parker has been quietly going under the radar in that traditional Parkery sort of way. Though, he'll happy tell you, in full detail, any single hadnd you wish to ask about.

"I limped for 50 with Kings, and Reyaaz Mulla raises to 250, and I know his range is huge, so I decide to just call, but before I can, someone else makes it 750. Now I'm only getting action from Aces if I re-raise again here so I decide to just flat-call and Mulla folds. Now the flop comes Ten-high and he bets out 1,000, I flat-call and now surely even Aces will slow down here. The turn is an Ace and he checks, and so do I. I now think he most likely has Queens or Jacks and I can value bet the river. A Queen comes on the river and it goes check/check, but I think I played it right."

Jen has lost 3 decent sized pots, now in push or pass mode.

Alex Kong has gone, short stack shove with  met resistance from Joey Lovelady's  Jhand no surprises, we are a man down.

How is Jen's stack ?

0

Stuck with Tony Phillips constantly re-raising her preflop and also trying to float her on a T-T-3 board with K-Q against her 6-6 and then hitting the K turn took a chunk from her stack. She also had her K-Q rivered by K-T for more chips before knocking out Sam Trickett with 4-4 vs A-J, then finally she pushed with A-K into Michael Porter's Q-Q and missed.

One of the biggest pots though has just occured though.

Waseem Shahid was all-in preflop and a sidepot was happening between Mark Goodwin and Askild Hansen.

two hearts

Marc quickly moves in, and the crowd grows.

Askild thinks, the crowd grows more.

Askilds keeps thinking, clever locals set-up small amenity shops so that crowds have somewhere to get snacks from whilst they wait.

Askild calls. Marc flips over ahead but vunerable as Askild shows . Waseem shows .

Now Waseem has the lead and Askild picks up an extra 3 outs.

Marc dodges all the bullets and wins the decent-sized side pot of about 30,000 whilst Waseem wins the main pot of around 10,000.

George 'Wellchief' McDonald (who still has nightmares about folding KK preflop last year to Dave Colclough last year) has been going errr, well again erm, chief. He's on about 45k having won two nice pots with Aces then knocked a player out with A-K vs A-Q. Here he is with Liv Boeree.

Marty Smyth -- 27k

Askild Hansen has just been knocked out by Marc Goodwin leaving Petter Martinsen as the last Norwegian in. But evenhe's just been crippled getting it all-in with T-4 vs K-J on a T-4-K board, only to be hit by a rivered King. Astute viewers will remember that he was also the slightly tipsy guy who ended up renaming Nick Slade as 'Nick Salad' in Dortmund last year...

Sunny Chattha has escaped!!!

Well sort of. The small blind limped and Sunny checked 9-8o in the big blind. The flop came a beautiful Q-J-T which they checked. The small blind led out on the 5 turn, and Sunny raised, the small blind flat-calling. The river paired the Queen, and the small blind checked and showed his cards before Sunny could act. Sunny said he'd have checked behind anyway, despite seeing the A-K of the small blind. He lost around 9k, though probably should've lost his whole stack on the turn. He's now short, having just been made to fold from the cut-off due to Tuan Lee's re-raise from the small blind.

Another player who was lucky to hold onto his stack was Jonathan McCann, he hadn't see Clark Watson already move-in and was forced to minimum raise from the 5k all-in short stack push to 10k. Enough to make Marty Smyth fold A-Q in the big blind. Clark showed 9-8o and was slightly relieved to see K-J, and even more delighted to see the board come out Q-7-7-8-7 in his favour. Although Marty might be rueing that decision...

Marc Goodwin looks to be the chip leader with around 80k now.
