£1/2 we're pretty short sitting with about £58 on the button we have there was a straddle and 3 callers so I called as well.
SB was a pretty weak and in the hour or so sat at the table he was willing to get it in with 2nd pair and any draw his standard line was to flat pre and shove the flop, the straddler talked a good game early doors  but had done 2 buy ins and his chips spread across the table and earlier in the game he was trying to encourage players to straddle and on a few occasions said one he straddles he was stealing position so wasn't ever passing his straddle and duly made it £15.  I should pass here but after 2 callers and i know the SB is coming along for the ride I think this could be an ideal spot to triple up and a bit more.

So I call the £15 and the flop comes Q high with and 8 but 2 diamonds, SB sets in straddler raises behind can i pass here or do I need to call?  This is almost the perfect flop for me this is what I call the £15 for.

Yeah £15 already in there when it gets to you and no-one has shown any signs of aggression, just lump it in, pickup the £15. If you get called you have a suited ace so are never worse than 30% (ok they could have AA but that's just bad luck)

more fundamental issue is calling on the button then calling a raise to 15 with a 54 stack on the button versus an aggro player. Raise the straddle pre referably, you likely have the best hand. What annoys me is that after calling then when you get the chance to correct your mistake you dont re-raise the guy thats nicking the straddles and bang it in. Quit all this backward limping unless you have a big stack and implied odds, when ur short you have to gamble and release some of the fold equity your £60 holds. Seeing all that  weak dead money in the pot and some aggro tard trying to buy the pot should makes you leap with joy at banging it in pre with A8s.

On the flop WTF? You want to pass here? Im remortgaging my mothers house.

I don't want to fold the flop I'm just curious to see if an arguement can now be made for folding.

I got it in anyway I was up against QQ and JJ
So the straddler hit top set.

Just as it's standard to call off 15£ of your 50£ stack with A8 suited pre-flop?
