Unlucky blondes.

I'd like to extend a massive congratulations to my local poker group, The Bristol and South West Poker Group. Yahoooo!! Smiley Although I was unfortunatey unable to join the team at the event (friends wedding) I was following the progress on APAT, and cashed out for £445 on my bluesquare bets which was pretty nice for an £80 outlay.

p.s. Anyone who followed my betting tips I posted on blonde pre-event would have made a tidy profit of £365 on an £80 outlay Smiley You can buy me a beer if you did! Wink

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

lol Smiley

btw... Does anyone know if I could have put my bets on as a double?

e.g. Rod Buckman £20 e/w @ 66-1 and a double with Bristol South West to win the tourney for £20 @ 12-1? I've been told that because my bet on Rod was each way, that "most bookies" won't allow me to double that with another bet. If I could have doubled it, I'm pretty gutted lol!

because the one bet affects the other. i.e Rod accumulating points for the team they will not allow the double, however if you bet on B&W team & a someone from anter forum this should be accepted

But probably not on that particular market because they limited their risk by taking max bets of £20.

Don't think they would accept doubles on a "fun" market. They were looking at max payouts of £2500

I'd guess that's not quite true, you just wouldn't get the full combined odds, same as betting on top scorer and winning team in the worldcup.

you could presumably do 2 bets, an individual win/team win double and an individual FT/team win double to get your e/w element.

When I bet on football matches, I always bet 'correct score' and 'first scorer' as a double, one obvious affects the other here.  Or maybe this combination is a seperate market in itself, can't remember...
