swap you for mine

Peter Taylor, Micky Adams, Craig Levein, Rob Kelly, Martin Allen, Gary Megson and, sadly, Ian Holloway.

I dont know how Woodgate can be classed as world class after one season without injury. I will go so far as to say he could be, that's about it. I could have been good. A lot of people could have been.

Ramos is a very good manager. Definately better than any Spurs manager in memory. I think he's world class but I doubt most people will agree as generally over here if you didn't do it on these shores it doesn't count and if you did and press don't like you, then in a year or two it wont count either.

even christian ' i came on the tube' gross?

Ultimately he will always be remembered for that PR gaff. But his training methods were advance for their time and he has proven himself at Basel.

But those days were dark indeed.

wanna swap dark days? macari.... brady......venglos......

Marginal call.

Arse and Chelsea were winning every trophy, whilst Spurs were wasting millions on Scales, Vega, Ferdinand, Fox, Armstrong and co.

He started it. I would have love to hear what his team talk was after the Wycombe cup game; as it seemed like that game completely destroyed the team's morale. I mean you were doing well in the league as well at the time and then after that match you just went on the most horrendous run.

Exactly

Following O'Neill was always going to be a horrible job.

Taylor blew it. Not just the Wycombe game, as you say

but we got £11m for Heskey and more £ for Lennon. Taylor, and the board, spent it all on £5.5m Akinbiyi, £3m Eadie and assorted Chamipionship footballers. It was inevitable that O'Neill's team would break up but the replacements destroyed the team spirit as it broke a cohesive wage structure.

The season after Wycombe, we never looked like staying up. Adams got us promoted again with a real dads army of a side (Ferdinand, Dublin, Hignett etc) but once we went down again it was just desperate mismanagement on and off the filed.

Culminating in this season.

but Martin O'Neill's inevitable departure and more specifically Peter Taylor started it

It will never ever be as good as it was under O'Neill ever again even assuming we do things properly from here

Peter Taylor is managerial poison

Has a huge budget at Hull, takes them up, then they struggle big time

Crystal Palace..crap under him, Warnock with the same team...results poles apart

goes to Stevenage, leaves after less than a season

Has made an entire career out of managing a very talented England U21 generation and has blown it everywhere since

Some of Taylor buys were laughable Akinbiyi being the worst of all, you also bought Lee Marshall from us who wasn't even good enough for bottom half 1st div (now championship) team for 650k.

I will take issue with Darren Eadie, he was premiership quality and was the best player when fit in the 2nd tier of English football for a couple of seasons. The problem was that he was extremely injury prone and that was the risk you were taking with him. Also to be pedantic im sure he was an Oneill buy. As MON managed him briefly at Norwich and was rumoured to want him for a good while before it happened.

Decent player imo,but always injured. I never thought he had a true position,he wasn't a striker or an out and out winger.

John Terry, Rio ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Kolo Toure ,Jamie Carragher. There is 5 off the top of my head that anyone who has a clue would not need a second to choose between them and jonathan 'mr potential but can't string 2 games together' woodgate.

You can continue to call Keegan all you want but i'm confident who will be watching the better football next season and we will finish above spurs next season.
