Wednesday 05th January 2011

Although I don’t have an artistic bone in my body I have always admired and respected those who produce it whether by painting or by photography. That said I know what I like and have spent many an hour whiling away times browsing shops and gallery’s becoming lost in the fantastic landscapes and views I am seeing.

Over the Christmas period Roxanne and some of her colleagues visited Baguio a City about an hour’s ride by bus from our home high into the mountains, here they spent time shopping and visiting friends they made it into an overnight staying at a luxury hotel kindly paid for by one of the casinos wealthy players.

It was here that the following photo was taken by one of Roxanne’s friends and in her own words entitled “waiting for my husband”

I know I am bias regards to the subject matter but this is probably the BEST photo I have ever seen, it hit me instantly it has everything for me, its evocative full of emotion and knowing Xan as I do i can feel exactly what she is thinking.

The original picture was in colour but in my limited knowledge I have turned it into black and white as i feel it expresses even more magic.

I just love this picture so much I felt I wanted to share it with those of you kind enough to follow my ramblings.

I love this lady so much.

I'm torn really.  I like the lighting in the colour picture, but like the, err, lack of colour in the black and white pic.  both beautiful anyway Smiley

We are both fine thank you, I haven't updated recently as I don't feel that anything of interest has really been going on, work is much the same, Guernsey life is nice and of course having a bed to sleep in again is a bonus.

I DO have HALF a story but I don't wish to put the mockers on things so I will update fully hopefully within the next few weeks when I know the full outcome, fingers crossed it will be GOOD NEWS.
