Tony Phillips is OUT, he raised and saw a Q-J-3 flop with one heart, bet and called. The turn is the and both players check. The river pairs the Ten and his opponent checks again, "So I think I'm good now and move in." He's called though by Q-J and is now out and off to play online.

Meanwhile Jen is having trouble with Kenny Burke who seems to be a player who refuses to fold any two suited cards preflop. Jen raises and Kenny is the only caller. , Jen bets 350, Kenny calls.

Jen bets 800, Kenny calls again.

three clubs

Jen check folds pretty quickly to the bet, Kenny shows the speculative .

There is a whole board out; it is three diamonds and Richard Teatum bets around 1200. Joey Lovelady raises to around 3.6k, and Richard calls. Richard turns over and is most upset to see that Joey is holding Two Diamonds for the worst possible flush. He starts giggling anyway. Maybe to mask the pain. Joey's happy though. Obviously.

Incidentally, with the lower than usual number of runners, we're not totally sure how the day will finish, I'm not sure that there will be enough players for us to play nine levels, so we might end up just playing down to 20 players or something.

A couple of random counts (more to follow shortly):

Nik Persaud -- 9.5k
Jerome Bradpiece -- 9k
Jen Mason -- 7.5k

oing well, Nik Persaud and Sam Trickett.

Ben Vinson has doubled up with vs Barry Neville's despite Barry hitting a Queen as Ben turned a flush.

Nick Gibson went out just before the break.

Paul Jackson (7.3k) said, "Anytime he played a pot, the other player flopped top pair against him, or top pair with a better kicker, I don't think he won a single hand..."

Jeff Kimber is out, moving in for around 2.5k on a board with but finding the equally drawtabulous calling him. The river was the which helped neither and Jeff is OUT.

Jerome Bradpiece has, very kindly, just written a couple of hands down for me.

The first was explaining the exit of Merryweather, apparently all-in on the river and not the flop of the 8-8-7-2-x board, after they had both checked the flop.

The second was a multiway limped pot with Jerome holding Two Clubs on a Q-4-6 rainbow board. The small blind lead out for 200 and 3 people called including Jerome, the turn was the , the small blind bet 875 and Jerome was the only caller. The river was the three clubs and this time the small blind bet 2,000. Jerome raised to 7,000 and the small blind made a 'very good fold' of a set of fours.

Paul Jackson defends from the blinds against Ben Vinson's raise.

Check check.

Paul check calls a 550 bet.

Paul check calls a 1,000 bet. Ben announces, "Two pair," turning over A-9. Paul shows J-6 and says, "Don't be putting that one online. I was calling the river anyway, you were just unlucky."

Mark Bointon bets out on a Q-3-3 flop and takes it right there. Much to his disappointment. He shows Q-3.

----------------

Meanwhile on Table Jen, Kenny Burke bets 400 on a flop, only for Jen to make it 1125. Burke dwells for a while, cradling in his hand enough chips to cover Jen. "It's either that or fold," he says, and opts for the latter. Jen back up to the heady heights of 7k. Go, my one percent!

---------------

Mr Paul Jackson has doubled up his super-shortstack, all in on the river holding on I believe a four diamond board.

Pete Linton has doubled up, moving in on a flop, called by Gareth Teatum.

Pete -
Gareth -

Turn -
River -

Pete now up to 13k or so.

Paul Jackson is OUT. He raised Pete Linton's bet on a 8-6-4 two spade board before pushing on the offsuit 3 turn. Pete called with ahead of which was the way it stayed.

Mike Ellis has knocked out Kenny Burke with Kings vs Queens.

Thomas Middleton just made an excellent call for his whole stack after Paul Gardner check/raised him for most of his stack on a board. Middleton called with , whilst Paul Gardner showed the dominated and drawing . No spade on the Two Diamonds and turn and river has left Gardner virtually on the felt.

It folds around to Jen on the cutoff, who makes it 600. Big blind Nik Persaud calls.

Flop - two hearts - Nik checks, Jen bets 500 and Nick calls.

Turn - - again Nik checks and now Jen makes it 1k. Nik peeks at his cards, and calls.

River - - in much the same way, Nik checks, Jen bets 2k and Nik calls.

Jen shows three clubs . Obviously. Nik mucks. "Bad turn for you," says Jen. And then to me: "Don't report that hand." Jen back up to 11k.

And now Paul Gardner is OUT, he walked into John Conroy's Aces.

Thomas Middleton has just given a load of chips to Joey Lovelady, around 8k or so, after they saw an A-6-Q-9-T board with Joey's flopped set of sixes triumphing over Thomas' A-J.

Just before that Thomas Middleton hand, Joey Lovelady was down to around 20k. By way of explanation he merely pointed to John Conroy and his 25k or so, who slapped himself on the back of the hand.
