It's a big pot on a final table....after the river card the 1st player pushes, and is called

as the first player is turning over his cards having been called, an associate of his who is much the worse for wear, jumps over the rope seperating the final table from the assembled railers and picks up second players cards, throwing them face down into the muck

You are called upon to make a ruling

This is a true story from an Eastern European event recently

Over to you.

as it's in Eastern Europe I first have the friend taken outside and shot.

then take the 2nd player aside and ask him for his exact holding, hopefully his 2 cards are together in the muck so we can be certain they were his and we can continue with a common sense showdown.

where was this?

Oi. Errrm - thats about all I can say - I really haven't got any defences left in me tbh. Sometimes I can be quite bright - I used to manage clients portfolios of millions of ponds.....but recently my brain has gone to mush....must be the company I'm keeping  Roll Eyes
