blonde goes AWOL
«
on:
May 16, 2008, 02:37:18 PM »
The blondepoker Home Page & Forum had an outage (= crashed) this morning, from about 2am until mid-morning. We don't know the cause yet, but if we find out, we'll let you know. Our apologies.
We also need to change our Server, which is creaking under increased traffic levels, & we plan to do this, hopefully, some time next week.
It will mean we will be "down" for about 24 hours, whilst Bongo fiddles about under the bonnet. As soon as we know when we plan this to take place, we'll let you know.

Could you plan it for the first day Boldie is back from Cuba - make him think it's gone completely whilst he's been away?

I've been giving some thought as to how I'll do the Data Transfer to the new Server.
I need to change the dns etc. At this stage I'd also like to do some db optimisations for the forum which will probably take several hours.
DNS should be fully propogated within 24 hours and we're back up and running.
Just need to sort out details to allow access before the dns has switched - maybe use the .org interface or setup a temp sub-filter of .com
That should sort it. I'll multi-Table some $20-$40 whilst doing it, jut to keep my hand in.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

Tikay can't translate it without hours of google search first... because he has no idea what he's said

I wonder if the A34 interchange will be chokka tonight
I need to change the dns etc. At this stage I'd also like to do some db optimisations for the forum which will probably take several hours.
How can I prevent those whinging bastards from ever posting again
DNS should be fully propogated within 24 hours and we're back up and running.
My batteries are charging and I'll be up and away once I'm plugged back on the machine
Just need to sort out details to allow access before the dns has switched - maybe use the .org interface or setup a temp sub-filter of .com
I'll leave the .org running and point all the whinging bastards to that one -- Ahhh peace and tranquility
That should sort it. I'll multi-Table some $20-$40 whilst doing it, jut to keep my hand in.
I'll donk some cash off tonight in order to purge myself
Any questions, feel free to ask.
