Could someone please recommend a good quality set of poker chips, i'm looking for a 500 chip set preferably marked with values but not important.
Spend around £20-25.

Found some but am not convinced of quality so am looking for someone to point me in the direction of some good ones.

Cheers

Can someone inform me which appears to be the better quality, please.

These are two i have found to be in good price range, but i can't distinguish quality from what they say and the pictures.

The first set are better. Heavier, composite clay.

For playing cards, you can't beat Copag or Kem.

I bought a set from Sports a year or so back which are perfect for home games.  Seems they are the same as the ones from Amazon you linked.

They also have a 500 chip numbered set for £25...

Agreed I nicked a pack of KEMS, could have been Copags, from the GUKPT Final Table in Cardiff last year (sorry Jon) and they have been superb in every home game since!

Playing cards much more important than chips IMO!

They're both plastic, one with sa bigger metal slug in than the other.

You can't really buy what I would call a "nice" set for the money you're talking about - either set would do the job as efficiently as a nice set, but it will subjectively be a less aestheticaly pleasing job. Those metallic clinks the ABS with metal slugs chips make sounds awful to these ears.

So if you don't want to spend for clays or ceramics, buy the absolute cheapest you can get that gives you what you want in terms of numbering and denomination breakdown. Spedning a penny more than the absolute cheapest is pointless as it's money you can save towards a "nice" set.
