I've barely played any online poker for a couple of months now - just got fed up with it, did my cash in, and decided to take a break.  I think I'm ready to step back into the fold now, and thought some kind of public challenge was in order.  I'm going to stick $100 on to blonde tonight, and see where it takes me.  Bankroll management is not a consideration for that sort of sum - if I lose it, so be it.

The first part of my plan is to double the deposit within a week playing sit n goes with a max $5 buy in.  I'll probably play a few MTT's as well, but will only allow myself a bash at an MTT if my current balance is over $120.  As and when the goal is achieved, I'll set a new one depending on where I am.

I'll update games played/results on this thread, with maybe the odd key hand thrown in.  I'm no wordsmith like some of the other guys on here, so don't really expect anyone to read - this is more for my own motivation than anything else.

Let the games begin......Cheesy

Good luck Chicka!!!  Look forward to reading all about it as I was considering a concentrated effort on STT's to build my own account up a bit.

All the best of luck to you Claire, I hope all your hole cards are aces Smiley

I recently set myself a target amount to make and it helped me focus and keep an eye on my balance. You've not played a while so you will probably have even better focus so Win Win Win!!!!!!!

thanks for the well wishes.  I've only played two $5 six seaters and am bored already tbh - maybe I should extend the break a bit?  Down to $98 Cheesy

Perhaps low stakes cash is the route to take clare.

the thing is I know sit and goes are where I can make profit.  Having said that, I can only make consistent profit at $20 and above, and I just don't have the dosh for that at the moment.  I might just donk it all off on baby MTTs.

You need to change yer mindset lively if you have any hope of achieving your goal.  You're trying to BUILD a bankroll, not donk it, ya goose!  Think positive and you'll come out a winner when it's over.

play 3 x $30 stts ... you only play properly if you cant afford to lose ... fannying around on $5 stt's wont get you interested or motivated... do it, you know it makes sense.
