Chompy is off tomorrow in pursuit of one of those bangle things in the WSOP, while I'm off next Tuesday to play the proper comps, the ones that reward you with hard cash and no unnecessary jewellery.

Updates and a few photos will appear over the next few weeks, hopefully along with all kinds of hilarious and fascinating tales.

WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

Is this the equivalent of Floppys blog? Chompy is Floppy and Celtic is the butler?

Have a great time both of you, looking forward to reading about good results

Flying out from Heathrow tomorrow morning, the cheapo way, with United and connecting through Denver. Not all of us can fit on the Virgin flight next Tuesday, enough Lutonians booked on there already, Captain Kirk up front, and Celtic and The Sicilian sharing a seat out the back.
Flying back direct, Vegas to London, is a no-go for me anyway as in my experience getting back to London early morning just causes jetlag. I always come back through Washington and catch up on sleep there before getting the 9.30 flight out of Dulles the next morning (there's a pleasing English-style breakfast shop which serves fry-up sandwiches next to gate whatever it is). That's the best way imo, gets into London at around 10.30pm and then you're back in the old routine.
The Sicilian (aka Dulux) sent me the Caesars schedule yesterday and it does look good, so I might mix in a couple of those, as well as Venetian deep-stacks, with the Rio stuff.
Definitely not shelling out for the two $5,000 NLHE WSOP events while I'm there, so will probably play Binion's on those days, same format as for the bigguns but at 10% of the cost.
The first intended port of call is the $2k at the Rio on Wednesday, all things going to plan with travel and sleep etc...
