Allardyce a cert for Blackburn job if/when Hughes leaves?
it seems so yes...good choice for them. yeh, I'm gutted that Hughes is leaving but I'd be fairly happy with Big Sam as a replacement. no offence m8 but be shocked if ur still saying that in 6 months time

Big Sams football isn't a poorer quality than Hughes' so I don't think they'll be any issues there. I think it would be a good move for Blackburn and BSA.
I think he has a very effective style of play (often wrongly just labbeled long ball) under the right set of circumstances. They weren't at Newcastle, but I think they could be at Blackburn.

It does seem as though we have got rid of Sven on the basis that we will have a top manager like Scholari, he then says no or wait till the euros. we then look for someone else to do the job. I have a feeling of Dejas Vu.

Is anyone else baffled by his front running for two top premeirship jobs?!
Okay he has done a good job at Blackburn, playing a better quality of football than he is often given credit for, but surely Chelsea in particular would be out of his league. Even Man city under this crazy owner might be too big a step.
The main problem I think he'll have at a 'bigger' club, with higher profile players, is that he still has a players ego himself. He's had a decent amount of fall outs with players where they have similar ego's - and he'll come up against a lot of them at Chelsea, and an increasing number at Man City.
Should be interesting to see how it pans out. Obviously success at one of those would line him up well for what would probably be his dream job.
He's a good manager so I'm not surprised by clubs being after him but City? Why would you want to go to a club where you'll probably be sacked if you dont make the top 5 next season?

Completely disagree - the last two seasons Hughes' football has improved no end.
